Hong Kong visitor visa? Whilst Hong Kong affords very generous visitor-visa-upon arrival arrangements to almost 200 foreign nationalities, sometimes the limit of stay you receive at the airport or boundaries is not enough – so what can you do to get a longer period of stay?

The trick is to apply for an extended visa before arrival.

Hello,

My sister is living in Japan, but holds a Russian passport.

She is coming to Hong Kong  to visit me and she wants to stay with me for 7 weeks.

But Russian passport holders may stay in Hong Kong for 2 weeks each time only.

Is it possible to extend her visa till 7 weeks?  If she will show her return ticket and also explain the reason why she wants to stay here for 7 weeks (the reason is that 2 weeks for us to be together is not enough as we want to spend more time together).

Also, she’s coming with her 2 years old daughter who is holding a Japanese passport  (as I know that Japanese passport holders may stay in Hong Kong  for 90 days) so her daughter no need to extend anything.

Is it possible to extend my sister’s visa in one time ?
